Review on Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II AF-S Nikkor Zoom Lens - Optimized for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras (New, White Box) by En En Shiu ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm very happy with the product, it's very satisfying.

Great reporting lens! Sharp, low chromaticity. The stabilizer works just great! I changed my AF-S 80-200 / 2.8D to this one :) The resolution has risen dramatically + the chromaticity has noticeably decreased. + Autofocus began to work more tenaciously. On the crop it is really narrow. P. S. here they wrote about ovals in bokeh - this is the case with any lens - vignetting appears. The farther from the center - the stronger. On older lenses, as a rule, it is noticeably even stronger :) Addition: P. After a couple of years, he began to miss - he turned to the service. As it turned out, a decent front was formed at all focal lengths, most pronounced at 70mm. Adjusted (adjusted at 70, 135 and 200mm), after that it again became razor-sharp on the D810. P. P. P. S. Those who are thinking about buying a TC-20E III teleconverter for use on D810 carcasses should think again. The drop in sharpness will be about 25%, which will be very striking on those same 36mp D810 (which is NOT equipped with a low-pass filter). So, if you do not give up the idea of a teleconverter, then you should limit yourself to the TC-14E III (loss of sharpness of about 5%, which is not significant) or TC-17E II (with a loss of about 17%).

Pros
  • Aperture, Focus, AF speed and tenacity, sharpness and chromaticity. STAB! :)
Cons
  • Heavy.
