I sent these back as my husband felt they weren't warm enough for working outdoors all day in southern Ontario. Last year we had a severe winter - the worst in years, and this year everything seems to be very similar. XL (has a 38" waist, fits well but doesn't seem to stretch very much. He felt they would be uncomfortable and too small if washed and shrunk a little. You want your underwear, especially long johns, you get dragged you don't want to feel like you have to pull on them, they were sent back for these 2 reasons, they seemed to be good quality just not heavy or thick enough and didn't give much is 6' 1"". 210 lbs.
