I was looking for a well-engineered pipe lighter without a jet. I felt jet lighters burned too fast for my needs. I went through many listings of their Revain lighters and missed some great disposable lighters that could meet my needs other than wanting something refillable. There have been many variations of the jet lighter but I already own two and have used five different types with my cigars before settling on a favourite. This thing came out, nice leather case, soft and comfortable in hand. It was offered in black or brown (I chose black). This lighter also had a unique feature compared to most other lighters: the fire hole is on the side. This makes it much easier to light the pipe without having to hold the lighter at an awkward angle and possibly burn yourself. I love the lighter. It's not for children as they don't have to play with fire anyway so there is no safety for children. The only reason I downgraded it from five to four stars is that it took quite a bit of effort to get the flame perfectly adjusted. Many refills and adjustments have resulted in the flame blowing too far, an inch and a half or two, or no flame at all with an obvious sound of gas escaping. I almost got it back until I found a magic spot where the flame went out about half an inch and it worked great for my pipe. Finally, the price was reasonable (around $16).
