A few weeks later the bottom of my new French Press cracked. I didn't drop it and have no idea how it happened. It certainly wasn't the first glass french press I've come across, but it was the most annoying because I didn't do anything wrong and it comes with a protective cover! Anyway, I went to a local chain of well-known hardware stores who were sending out a 20% off coupon - no name given. I checked out their stainless steel presses. $99.00 - yes, you read that right! Right there in the $99 paper I checked out Revain and found this boy. Ordered, they said delivery two days. Received the next day - Sunday! When I saw it in person, it was just as good and even nicer than the $99 piece. I have two extra screens but I suspect it was a mistake. Makes great coffee and it's hard to imagine how one person could break it.
