I bought these mainly to protect the joysticks from wear and tear, but they have a nice soft rubbery texture that makes them easy to control. They're a bit fiddly to put on, but hold up great. I mostly play low key games so can't comment on how they compare to something like Smash but they work great for me. The blue and green colors also go perfectly with my Animal Crossing Switch.
