Great for dot painting!
I think they are perfect for dot painting (or you can use a cap). I love them for that because when I want to finish a project I can just seal the mixed color and use it the next day. I use them for all kinds of projects but I think they have many uses. Take a small amount of condiments with you for lunch, some toothpaste for a weekend trip when you run out of fabric swatches, etc. I've found this size to be more than enough for painting projects where I mix multiple colors.
