Perfect! My wife repeats this over and over again! She is often bedridden for medical reasons. She wanted something for her iPad when she went to bed and she wanted to watch a YouTube movie or play a game or use her iPad for other purposes while she was in bed. She thought of an articulating armrest sticking out from the head of the bed, but that would be too much, especially if she wanted to tap the screen to select things. She also considered some sort of stance, but since she usually uses this at an angle, a fixed stance wouldn't work very well. Another thought was some sort of "pocket" support, but that wouldn't have worked so well. She kept dropping me the ideas she was considering, but for one reason or another none of them seemed like a very good solution. So I started exploring myself. I figured it had to be something portable because every night before bed I had to grab her iPad and plug it into her charger before going to bed. So the articulated arm doesn't work because it gets stuck over her head. Then I found this elegant AboveTEK Aluminum Tablet Stand Cell Phone Stand 360° Foldable Rotating iPad iPhone Desktop Holder. It allows her to tilt her iPad for a better view while lying in bed. It's durable and has a heavy base so it's very stable while you're watching a movie or using the iPad for other purposes in bed. Ideal! And what's even better, she can also use it around the house wherever she is! It's easy to take everything, stand, iPad and all, and take it wherever you want. It has rubber feet so it won't slip on the table, desk or any other surface. She can even use it on her lap if she wants! This is amazing stuff! Ideal! Nearly. The only thing that could have been better is that since their iPad has an Otterbox Defender case, this stand almost hangs from it. This case is quite thin but still adds to the thickness of your iPad. The only thing that could make this stand even better than perfect would be if its gripping arms were a bit wider to make holding the iPad a bit easier in these cases. A sixteenth of an inch wider would be just right. But other than that, this stand is 99.9% perfect!
