Review on Samsonite Tectonic PFT Laptop Backpack 17-Inch: Stylish Black/Red Design by Kyle Salinas

Great layout, poor durability

The backpack is well built and has plenty of easy access pockets for your gear including an adjustable slot in the largest compartment for your laptop. It fits under the seat when flying major airlines and the strap on the back cushion that allows me to slide over the handle of the suitcase is handy. Those are good moments. There are two bad points. On the one hand, the bottom of the laptop compartment is not sufficiently padded and therefore does not offer good protection when the backpack is quickly placed on a hard surface. Two hiking socks tucked in solved this problem so well I didn't notice. However, the second issue is durability. After a year of daily wear and some long trips, two large zippers broke from the backpack and both shoulder straps started to come loose. On this last point I expected more from Samsonite and was very disappointed. I will not buy this packaging again, although I really like the design.
