Review on Portable AWOW Computer: Ultra Slim 15.6" HD, Full HD 1920X1080P Display for On-the-Go Productivity by Jason Adelaja

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not bad, especially for the price

This monitor does many things well and very few things badly and last but not least the price is very reasonable, especially with the current promotions that Revain is offering on it. Compared to some high end monitors including other offerings from AWOW (the manufacturer) there are nicer things on the market but at this price point it meets or exceeds the performance of other comparable products. - The stand/case is quite nice and easy to use. The description says it's leather but it's definitely a plastic material and that's fine and I think even preferable. This is probably a language issue more than anything. It seems to sit well on my desk at a reasonable angle for use with the case installed on it. seems to be less), so a reasonably powerful charger should be able to power the monitor (although I would recommend a charger with at least 15W output), including what's included. This means you can use the USB port on your laptop (I tried this) or if you have a multi-port charger for your laptop to power the monitor when needed, so you have fewer accessories to carry around must. I was also able to use my battery pack to power the monitor. So when you're on the go, you can run it on an external battery. IPS screen, not bad but not amazing. But given the price I wasn't expecting 100% sRGB as it says "70% color gamut" which I think is 70% sRGB and that statement seems to be accurate. I found the color reproduction acceptable, if necessary you could edit a photo on it. The screen is 220 nits, which isn't crazy bright. The photos I have show the monitor next to my high-end HP 855G8 laptop with a 400 nit 99% SRGB screen (both screens at 100% brightness). HP's colors are more accurate and the screen is noticeably brighter. But judging by the specs, this shouldn't come as a surprise. I think there are differences, you can tell which is which in the photos but the AWOW is solid and doesn't look terrible in comparison, can't ask for more for its price. Since I will be using this monitor I will probably use it indoors as a spare screen. If you plan on using your screen outdoors I would definitely go for the next model from AWOW with a brighter screen although this one isn't bad the E6 has a 450 nit screen and although I haven't seen it, the difference might be worth it. - Blacks are also quite deep, and there's not really much noticeable pixel show-through. - The screen is also good for videos, I don't see any tearing when playing videos on the screen. - A 3-year warranty is also provided if you register the product on AWOW using the card in the box, which seems like a very generous warranty for an electronic product. I don't expect it to be needed, but it's nice to know it's there. The only real negative I saw was the speakers on the monitor. They're just kinda. But I didn't buy it for that. They are not as loud as my laptop and sound a bit tinny. The monitor comes with good cables and everything you need. It comes with two nice thick USB-C cables, a C-to-C, an A-to-C and a mini-HDMI-to-HDMI cable, and a 5V 3A wall mount (although I'll probably win). t use, see above about its diet). If you need a portable monitor, this is definitely a good choice.
