If you're drawn to one of the designs, or are buying someone else who you think they might like, stop thinking about it and start buying! I have two pairs of these and wear them literally every day. I wouldn't say they're particularly soft (it's not plush stuff at all), but they're not exactly soft, if you know what I mean. They're still quite comfortable. They're not very warm either, but I actually prefer them that way because I can wear them all year round and I don't get too hot in the summer. They have pockets. They have a fun design. The length is good, which I always find difficult with pajama bottoms. I've washed them many times and they're still holding up great. Definitely a great buy!
