This dryer is AMAZING! First, you may need to be patient in trying to get this dryer but not because of the seller. It took 3 attempts to get this dryer due to various problems at Ebay (fulfilled by Ebay so this IS NOT the seller's fault). Due to the extensive positive reviews, I kept trying and am so glad I did!This dryer is sturdy (lol, withstood a headbutt from a 70 lb Pitbull). The access to the filter is easy to get to which makes for easy cleaning. Our little hippo (the previously mentioned 70 lb Pitbull, lol) has a super THICK coat. It used to take 1 & a half to 2 hours to dry her with my ionic hairdryer and that left her damp in areas, not totally dry. This dryer had her completely dry in 45 minutes, on the lowest setting, without using the heat function! The various attachments would be incredibly helpful for long haired dogs (or cats). I just used one, the narrow rectangle attachment, and it did the job I needed.As far as noise goes, it is a dryer, it sounds like a dryer. I felt it was equivalent to the noise level of my personal hairdryer but it was a lower pitch. Our dog is ok with dryers as long as I let her smell the hose and opening and don't start around her head initially. After I received the dryer, I discovered that it is the same dryer our former groomer uses and she loves it as well!The heat function: I did not need to use it however, i was surprised to read in the manual that it shouldn't be used for more than 30 minutes at a time. As I used the dryer, I noticed the air felt warmer as time passed so I never had to turn on the heat function.I turned the speed knob up, just playing around with it and holy cow, it is a POWERFUL dryer! I kept it on low because it was doing a fine job but if you need power, this dryer definitely has it.I bathe our dog every two weeks (unless she rolls in something nasty and requires a bath sooner, lol) and this dryer has been excellent every time so far. It has just been over a month so I will update my review if the dryer starts to disappoint but so far, I am thrilled with my purchase!
