I am a beginner and to my knowledge this is the perfect option for a beginner in studio lighting for photography. They are very heavy and to avoid falling which could shatter the lamps or the softboxes becoming disconnected from the stands, do yourself a service. And look for soft box weights OR save some money and look for dome weights. Basically you're looking for cloth bags that you can put sand or rocks or whatever in to put them on the bottom legs of the softboxes to balance the weight so they don't topple over when bumped or being tripped. The investment is definitely worth it.
