Safety concerns - good for smooth surfaces
That's a great idea but my kitty chewed on the buttons and managed to pull out two of them. I had screwed it on and pressed firmly and he was still able to pull it out. They are small enough to be easily swallowed, and a bent needle would damage its interior. If my sofa had a smoother surface they would probably stick to it without nails, but the texture means that now that I've removed the nails they will probably peel off in a day. They probably work well on nail-free skin, sticking to it and peeling off easily without leaving any residue.
