A great set if you like muted earth tones. Although they market it as Southwest, I think it can be combined with many world/tribal/ethnic or zen styles. When I ordered there were only two short reviews and the seller's description is missing so I'll try to fill in the blanks. For example, both the case and the pads can be converted to solid black with white stitching. An oversight: the decorative pillow I received is not the one pictured, but it is beautiful. It's a walnut brown with teal white chevron embroidery on the front and the same solid walnut color on the back. The cover is not removable. The main colors of the ribbons are black, plum, burnt sienna, deep turquoise, dark khaki, sand and sage green. There is only a turquoise stripe on the bedspread and robes. With my lighting, the drain is muted and not as noticeable as in the photo. The stripes have contrasting colored "running stitches" printed on them that create the effect of Sachiko or Kant quilting from afar. The actual quilting is the straight main channel. The kit appears to be very well constructed with no skipped seams or sticking out threads and just a few thread ends in the corners. The back edge of the bedspread forms a six inch wide cap to hold it on the mattress. The drop at the front and edges was about 17.5 inches. All edges have 1/2" black piping sewn on including split corners. The cover turns to a fully finished solid black with white channel stitching lines. There was no odor that I could detect. Judging by the picture the set had two striped overlays and one black, but it has three identical overlays, striped on one side and black on the other with white stitching.The same black piping is used for piping and ties.The overlays are tied at one end with two ribbons, so both surfaces are smooth. My regular size gel/memory foam hybrid pillows fit perfectly. The dustproof box ruffle has narrow machined edges and a thin white taffeta platform. The black teardrop on the front and both ends is also thin, probably microfiber, and also has split corners. Fall length 14.5". According to tags: dust cover / pads / ruffles - all fabrics 100% Polyester, Quilted Filling 90% Cotton, 10% Other. Machine wash in cold water separately, gentle cycle, do not bleach. Tumble dry low, remove quickly, do not iron. Decorative pillow - cover made of 100% polyester, filling made of 100% polyester. The stain is clean. Everything - Made in China. I should probably deduct a star for the throw pillow but I love it and wasn't expecting a reversible set so no. I have bought many cheap bedding sets, this one is good. In general I am quite satisfied.
