My daughter is 9 years old and her average age is 9 years. She wears size 12/14. She's not skinny, but she's not very fat either. She's just fat. I bought size 12 and I would say it fits very well. My main complaint is that this dress has ZERO stretch, making it a little uncomfortable in the arms and difficult for her to get on and off without help. The neckline seems a little wrong, or something about it just seems plain. off, but that's not so bad. Overall I think this is a very nice dress and I am happy with the purchase. I just wish it was made of a different material.
