As others have noted in their reviews, the echoes from this mic are very quiet. I've found that only the person holding it can hear the echo in the mic (unless you yell very loudly). This made it a bit difficult to show my 1 year old daughter how it works as my echo wasn't very clear when she wasn't holding the mic. Aside from the faint echoes, colors are vibrant and the mic itself is solid. but it's a bit on the heavy side. She had more fun throwing it on the floor than speaking into it because it rattles louder when it hits the floor. echo more. For children from the age of 5 it will probably get boring very quickly.
