My Atlas console is very tall and deep. Problem is I can fill it with auto stuff but I have to dig while driving. This compartment allows me to have a dedicated place for important items so they don't get lost in the large console. I was afraid it was too big for a console. I was wrong. It fits perfectly and I ride it more safely now. Costs money. It's sturdy and more durable than expected. That should be enough for the entire life of the car.
