I bought these when I was frustrated that my 3 year old was still mostly eating with his hands. They solved the problem because they actually work like adult cutlery. Too bad I didn't think about looking for her a year ago. The spoon has good dish depth while his other "baby" antennae were shallow. The fork has tines that are narrow and sharp enough to pick up food easily, but they're scaled to fit his size so I'm not worried about him accidentally sticking himself in his mouth. The design is sleek and modern, with cute little animals on each handle. They are well made and seem to be just as durable as my cutlery and my son loves having 'grown up' cutlery like mine. I haven't used a butter knife with this before; You just have to know that this is an effective mini version of the regular version. I don't think they are suitable for infants/toddlers who are just starting to eat solid foods but I would definitely buy them while you are looking as older toddlers and preschoolers will have a much easier time handling cutlery , if it actually *works. *. I wholeheartedly recommend them and the value for money in this set was good.
