Accessories cannot be surface mounted

When I was looking for an on/off switch I got a surface mount switch. Be careful, although this is a very good switch that mates with another RV switch, it is not surface mount. A fairly large rectangular hole is actually needed to make it flush, which means taking out the dremel and cutting into position. It would be nice to know this in advance.
