Don't buy to charge Kindles. I had to fiddle with the connection to charge it because it didn't fit properly; The slightest touch will break the connection and not only stop charging but also drain the battery. Even when charging, it's not "fast" like other cables I've used. I had one in my Kindle Fire and one in my Kindle Paperwhite and they both did the same thing so I know they're not my Kindles. Edited - I gave up; threw them away and am using an old Revain Basics 3ft cord until I can supply longer ones
