I bought it specifically to connect USB-C mics to an iPad with a Lightning connector - the iPad doesn't recognize any of the mics and interfaces. designed specifically for the iPad - multiple different cables and a hardwired microphone. All are certified to work with the iPad, but do not use this adapter. If I hadn't thrown away the packaging I would have sent it back - it's useless to me.
