If you've bought daytime running lights for your bike, you know that the bigger brands usually charge 3-5 times that price for just the headlights. So if you're anything like me, you're probably a little skeptical about the quality at this price point. The short summary is that you have to put it aside and buy before they change their mind and raise the price. They are durable, bright, well built and have excellent battery capacity. Editing is a breeze, with one small exception. Rubber bands wrap securely around any part of the bike frame (e.g. the handlebars or seat post) and don't move until you release them. Once you hook the strap on the light, it's not going anywhere. No vibration or shock caused the headlights to slip. The only thing I don't like is that the rear light is difficult to attach to a backpack or backpack. Once you attach it, it slides and shifts quickly. My flashlight immediately ended up face down under my backpack under the seat. No problem if you tie the lantern to the seatpost AND you don't have a backpack blocking the light - definitely worth checking before buying. Luckily that's not a problem for me on my Trek Verve 2, but it's something to be aware of. The headlight is clearly visible during the day and the flashing mode lets you jump into oncoming traffic. Gives enough light at night. The rear light could have been a bit brighter, but it is clearly visible even during the day. Both light sources have three intensity levels. The front light has one flash mode (maximum intensity) and the rear light has three additional flash modes (slow/low, slow/medium and fast/high). Charging is easy with the two included USB charging cables (you provide your own charger). The charging connector is Micro-USB-B, which means it's compatible with most smartphone cables. The taillight charging indicator will turn off when charging is complete, but the front indicator is harder to read. There doesn't seem to be any indication that the loading process is complete; The LED indicator stays on no matter how long it is connected to the network. It can change color from red to green when it's done, but since I'm color blind I can't see the difference. Anyway, I've just let them charge overnight and they've survived all my rides so far (usually about an hour). I usually deduct a star for these minor inconveniences. But they far exceed the quality I expected for the price and I'm so pleased with the results that I bought a second pair for my wife's bike. You simply can't go wrong with them at this price point. UPDATE 1: I've been using them for a few months now and haven't had any reliability issues. I can only add one small issue: due to the design of the mount, you cannot rotate the lantern at all. This means if you mount it off-center on your handlebars (which almost everyone does) or if your handlebars tilt slightly from the center fork, your light will be off-center. There is no customization here; It is what it is. Since 98% of my trips are day trips and they are so cheap, I can't bring myself to give it one star. UPDATE 2: After two years of intensive use, the rear light finally broke. The button no longer works and cannot be switched off. If the battery is empty, it means that it will no longer turn on. I've replaced it with another model but I'm still very happy with the performance and durability for the price. If you're looking for cheap flashlights, you can't beat this bundle.
