These straws are perfect for a 16 oz acrylic glass. You can use them with a 20 ounce glass, but the straw sticks out just enough for you to drink from the straw. I love them because they are cheap and disposable. I hate cleaning reusable straws, especially after smoothies or anything other than water. The width of the straw is similar to the straw you can buy at Starbucks or fast food chains. I've used it for smoothies and it works great. It's not a giant straw to drink a bean out of. They are meant to be used once and thrown away, they are not thick plastic straws that you will want to use again and again. In general everything is excellent for the price, quantity and quality of the product.
