Well, I got this cable and programmed my BMW with pleasure. This will be my first attempt at programming for my machine so I didn't know what to expect. If you are using this cable and are having problems such as: - VIN is intermittently missing when trying to connect to a car via the VIN (sometimes it shows, sometimes it doesn't) - it takes multiple attempts to successfully read the SVT - the FDL cannot be encoded (I have never worked with this cable - there was always an error). you may also have a defective cable.
