. Artificial grass on our balcony for the dogs to do their thing, so causes a lot of flies. This zapper is amazing! I throw a quick party every time I hear about a fly being shot! They seem to die instantly, which is why I also appreciate their quick and painful deaths. I don't actually use the light option, but it works (not sure what you would use it for). The battery lasts a long time and charges very quickly. I highly recommend this product if you want to get rid of those suckers. I have not tried this zapper with either large flies or moths so I don't know if they work the same, but it works 100% on medium sized flies and mosquitoes. Also, treat this zapper like a tennis racket. When swinging, make sure you're swinging with your wrist and not your whole arm or body - you'll get them every time you use your wrist. Much luck!
