If you have a problem with the door and you don't mind losing the dual-zone function, this product is for you! Most of the work is cutting the plastic of your car's air duct; I did this with a hot knife I made myself with a soldering iron. Once you've done that, they will be easy to install. However, the combi doors fit snugly on the axle, so I also recommend sanding down a bit and lubricating the axle with oil or silicone spray. Once I did that I was able to easily hand insert the axle into the installed mixed doors. I wouldn't advise scoring! As for the loss of dual zone capability, this is actually not mentioned in either the product description or the instructions. But the passenger can still turn the temperature control and give the impression that he can regulate the temperature: placebo effect!
