The care label recommends air drying for best results, which explains why so many starred items become damaged after tumble drying. Bedding that requires air drying should be marked as such in the description. I didn't find any mention of air drying in the product description. I have to wash it too often for it to pay off. If you don't wash it I'm sure it will work for you (which also explains the 4 and 5 star ratings). Otherwise, skip it or consider it a one-time, limited-use item. I've air dried it and it seems to be working fine, but I don't have space indoors to easily do this and I live in a climate where it's just not possible to dry laundry outside from October to March to hang up
