Viewed in relation to the VVC Solenoid and Alternator on a 2015 Honda Odyssey EX-L. But probably applicable to many years and models of Honda/Acura vehicles with 3.5L v6 engines. A little pad like this. The OEM seal in my variable valve timing solenoid failed, costing me an alternator replacement. When the old gasket wears out, oil can leak out of the cylinder head and seep straight into the alternator. You will see signs of oil in the engine bay, look for leaks just above the alternator and at the bottom of the engine mount. This seal will not be recognized as a part number by dealer parts departments as their OEM seal is only supplied as a kit. After also purchasing a new solenoid - mine was $230 - I purchased and installed this gasket. Installation was pretty easy and it fixed the leak that was ruining my generator. Generator anyway, so do yourself a favor. If you're going to change the alternator anyway and your car has decent mileage, grab this washer and just do it as it's only about 3 minutes extra work on the same disassembly route.
