Hand soap is one of those things we used to buy at the store for a dollar, regardless of brand or scent. Then, to be even more frugal, my husband started buying large, industrial-size jugs of random liquid soap so we could refill the bottles. We did this for years until I finally had a little mini riot. Good-smelling hand soap in pretty packaging is a luxury, but it's not expensive enough to be a HUGE treat, and it looks and feels far better than dollar-store soap. Add some nice towels and a new shower curtain and I feel a lot better in our slightly dated bathroom. (And maybe it's my imagination, but they seem to last a lot longer than the stuff we bought at the dollar store.)
