In general, the box is strong, but the little things are cheap and of poor quality. The magnet that closes our door had snapped off and now slips easily (had to be re-taped to attach) and the plastic flag had a piece of plastic holding the assembly together which broke when our postman lowered the flag for the first time. While I can most likely find a metal bolt and nut to replace the broken part, it still doesn't quite work as intended. I would recommend that you look elsewhere for your mailbox so you are not wasting your time and money on this product.
