It appears to have an all-metal body that feels good in the hand. It worked straight away with my HP Envy X360 Convertible. I would say it's not a 100% replacement for the genuine HP pen that came with my laptop, but for me it gets the job done. Not to mention it's a lot cheaper than buying a real HP pen. The HP pen that came with my Transformer uses a 4AAAA battery - I prefer the Uogic Stylus' built-in rechargeable battery.
