I was concerned it would come with molding putty for its 'legs' as some people came with this and some came with a pre-cut rubber plastic type to mold it in Popsicle sticks to poke the legs so you don't have to worry about letting the clay dry. Since the children want to play with it immediately, it falls apart and it can also fall apart after the modeling clay has dried. I was VERY happy to see that it came without modeling clay. I think the company reworked this feature and also saw a bug in the playdough. . Yes, it makes the fork more realistic, but not durable for gaming. So if that's your concern I wouldn't worry too much, I think you'll be fine if you order and don't get the tone. I like rubber/hard plastic (I say rubber because it feels a bit rubbery on the outside which makes it feel more like clay, but it's hard and durable like plastic if that makes sense). It's sticky like glue on the eyes but I knew they wouldn't stay long so I applied a dab of hot glue to the eye sockets of the forks and my toddler placed the google eyes on the glue and pressed down to secure it safer and we know it won't fall. I also put a bead of hot glue on the fork's handle where its "arms" (red pipe brushes) go and have my toddler wrap it around the glue and press down with a spare popsicle stick to secure to make sure his hands don't go anywhere either. The legs fit very nicely into the pre-cut indentations so there was no need to glue the wax brows and mouth in there, which we did, but a small amount of glue that required some finesse and very little almost cooled glue, like this Not to melt wax, but we understand. Otherwise they won't stay. Overall I am very happy with the project and so is my little one. BTW, as you can see I decided to leave out the glue they give you as I found it was a cheap glue which I didn't think would work well for a long time. My little one is not fussy about toys and she takes good care of them so they last a long time. I know some kids aren't like that so it doesn't matter if the toy doesn't last, but I knew it would last if we could make it. All the materials are really good quality just there was no glue or anything to stick it together so I made it better to make it stick together with other things.
