Cheaper here than on vacation!

Order this before leaving for the beach! It will be cheaper here than THERE! We’ve had lots of fun skipping it across the water. Beach, Lake, Pool, River!

Pros
  • A great way to meet new people at the beach or pool
Cons
  • May cause damage to plants or other vegetation

Fun, but very small

I wish they would change the picture. I thought I was ordering a large ball the size of a volleyball. Instead it is a very small ball. I just didn't read the reviews or description well. The boys still had fun with it and it does have a great bounce.

Pros
  • This water-bouncing ball takes water games and activities to the next level
Cons
  • Can be difficult to catch

Best investment for yuppie kid's goalkeeping college scholarship

While the ball is just a few bucks, it potentially could be worth a couple hundred thousand. Lean back, relax, with beer in left hand and throwing arm ready.skip this thing hundreds of times over your pool surface to your boy. He will transform into part water dog and part super hero, diving for everything you throw at him. Guaranteed NCAA Collegiate soccer goalkeeping scholarship after 5,000 tosses OR Waboba will return your cost of purchase. And you can drink a beer while doing it!

Pros
  • Enhances hand strength and grip
Cons
  • May break if thrown too hard against a hard surface

Incredible Beach Toy (not for toddlers)

I can highly recommend this ball for anyone. Every person I've shown it to has went and bought their own. It's amazing how far you can throw it. The idea is that you skip it over the water. Now we've played from 30 yards but we've also played from 70 yards. The ball can really cruise once you get it down. It's very similar to skipping rocks if you can picture that. We made up a game. Basically it's 2 on 2 and you have to skip it to you partner and complete a pass with 1 skip. Then 2 skips. Then

Pros
  • 60mm / 2.36-Inch
Cons
  • Can be affected by wind and waves

So much fun! for my opinion

I'm 44 and my kids are 9 and 11. I bough them one and me one! I think I have more fun with this than the kids! Great for the beach and the pool. Must have for anyone who hangs out near the water all summer.

Pros
  • Adds a new level of challenge to games like catch and keep-away
Cons
  • May sink if not thrown correctly

Awesome Water Toy best in my review

Fantastic product that is going to give you hours of fun. Purchased 3, lost one because we threw into some rocks and can't find it. (Most balls skip a bit on water, these things fly which is awesome.) Another had the outer lining start to rip, I tweeted a picture of the tear and Waboba immediately contacted me offering to replace it so bonus points for customer service. I'm chalking that tear up to a defect since the one I still have is in fine shape even though my roommates and I spend hours…

Pros
  • Comes in assorted colors for variety
Cons
  • Could get caught in pool drains or filters

The only water toy you need

I wrote this same review for the Waboba Extreme cause I own that one as well. These balls are great! My brother introduced me and our friends to them and now no day in the water or on the beach is complete without them. When we bring them out every one has to stop and ask what is that? Where did you get it? Can I try? I have the extreme and the pro no difference besides color and size. Probably not the best gift for kids under 12 though as they do take a good amount of arm strength to skip far…

Pros
  • Adds excitement to water activities
Cons
  • Not suitable for use by non-swimmers

Challenging and fun

It takes skill to multi skip this ball in a pool. It’s fun. Mostly for +10 kids as it takes some muscle to get several skips on a toss. Even if people are not skipping the ball, its fun to play catch in the pool too. Floats and more firm than splash balls. The ball once hit a ladies face, she was not happy about it. The material is very durable and the texture IS LIKE silicone caulk in a fabric liner that doesn’t leak. I don’t think it is silicone caulk but just feels like it to me. A good toy…

Pros
  • Enhances agility and reflexes
Cons
  • May be affected by the user’s throwing technique

One of the best water toys ever

Hours of Great fun for hanging out in the water all day. Shallow water in particular because its best to have some footing for throwing and catching. Have used the whole summer and still not run out of fun. Probably won't even, just a classic tailgate-like hanging out game.Works in both ocean and lake water, and heck river water might even work but I haven't tried it. Be careful in the pool though, this ball bounces far. Maybe good for throwing between one person in pool and one person out of…

Pros
  • Engineered for sport performance, the Waboba Pro’s heavier weight gives it advanced athletic control
Cons
  • Can be difficult to find in stores

Tough and fun, buy advil to help the shoulder later.

Really too much fun for a few middle aged men. Hours were spent at the beach burning our skin as we tried to catch this little devil and regain our youth. Loads of fun in knee deep water.

Pros
  • Toys & Games
Cons
  • May need to be deflated for travel or storage

Fun. Durable. Hours of Entertainment!

Go ahead and buy this right now! The kids will love it. The adults will love it. But, beware, this ball will cover some ground and take a beating whilst doing so. You won't regret your purchase!

Pros
  • Incredibly fun for all ages
Cons
  • May not last very long if used frequently

So Much Vacation Fun

Love this ball. This is my fourth one as my kids always lose them at the pool or beach! But, these are great. Perfect for the water! I know they are pricy but we’ll worth it. Float, skip, durable!

Pros
  • Perfect for the lake or the ocean, the Waboba Pro Ball is great, competitive fun for the whole family
Cons
  • May not bounce as high as advertised

Awesome pool toy, bounces on water just like it says

so much fun, about the size of a tennis ball and with a good side arm through it bounces off the water just like a skipping stone. You can get a good bounce with an overhand through with practice. Just be warned it bounces, and bounces well, so well it flew out of the pool several times.

Pros
  • Adult
Cons
  • May hit other swimmers or boaters

Fantastic water toy!

There are three Waboba surf balls that are under the size of a tennis ball. This is the largest. The orange and grey one is in the middle, then the "surf" which is pink and blue is the smallest. I have all three. So far as I can tell they're all made of the same materials, and hold up equally well. They're remarkably novel, and quite fun to play with, so I recommend them highly. Being the largest of the three, this is aimed more for adults adults with decent arm strength to play with…

Pros
  • Safe for all ages to play with
Cons
  • Can be affected by the user’s height

If you haven't played with a Waboba ball, you're missing out. Any day at the beach can be made exponentially better when you bring one of these along. Makes me feel like a little boy who has discovered his first bouncy ball! Note that the "Pro" version is firmer that the other Waboba balls so it bounces further as well.

Pros
  • Makes water activities even more enjoyable
Cons
  • Can be lost if thrown with too much force

Lots of (exhausting) Fun!

I bought this toy a few weeks ago to use on the beach in South Florida. It really is a lot of fun. When you watch it bounce the first time, its unlike anything you have ever played with before. It's action is so unique it even draws a small crowd. I do have one warning though. If you are going to use it on the ocean, be prepared to be exhausted. In order to get it to bounce, you have to throw it with considerable speed. Combine that speed with a little bit of surf and you have a ball that…

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • May not work well in saltwater

I haven't actually used this yet but we had a ball like this that we took and used everywhere! We took it to the ocean, the pool, the lake! It is so much fun and better than the sponge balls because it bounces off the water and is easy to catch. The original ball was lost during an errant throw so I was happy to find a replacement. I hope this one is as good!

Pros
  • Novelty & Gag Toys
Cons
  • Can be difficult to store when not in use

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Lots of fun, especially if your looking for a challange

Took some getting used to the way you should throw (or skip, really) and the speed it comes at you, but once it clicks it is a ton of fun.

Pros
  • Helps to improve coordination, balance, and agility
Cons
  • May cause litter or pollution if lost in the water

Pretty cool: my feedback

We had seen this ball in stores while visiting Florida, but didn't buy one at that time. I decided I would get one for our Fall trip to the ocean. We had fun playing with it in a swimming pool.it skips across the water pretty fast. However, it doesn't float so I am curious as to how long it'll be before we lose it in the ocean. The directions say it will bounce really high off the water, but we didn't get to try that out since it was a community pool with lots of people around.

Pros
  • Great for building confidence and self-esteem while playing
Cons
  • Can be affected by the user’s reaction time

Works even better than could possible expect.

Tons of fun. Saw this up at York, Maine last summer and had to get it for the Cape this summer. Surprised the kids and we all had a great time. Even stopped by inquiring spectators asking us what it was and how it worked so well. 18 year old son and I had a great 40 yard game and then my 13 year old daughter was asked to play with a 8 year old new found friend.

Pros
  • This item is very good- exactly what I hoped for. Thank you.
Cons
  • Can be dangerously bouncy on hard surfaces
