I'm 5'1" and my legs get cramps under my desk at work. I had to put them on something better than a cardboard box! I wanted something inexpensive but comfortable and durable. The footrest definitely fits! It was very easy to assemble. It looks cute, not cheesy... (although I don't think it looks good enough to be a permanent piece of furniture in my living room at home)... But perfect for an office where nobody is looking under my desk anyway . In other words, visually it only looks as good as the money you spend on it. It's soft enough for my ankles and feet and stays in place. -- in contrast to a cardboard box, which I always have to look for.
