Belts Gates vs oem

It's funny how some people say it's junk when Polaris gets their belts from Gates! (in possession). To update. I have now had this belt in my 2017 xp4 1000 eps for some very hard intense rides. After breaking in the strap for the first time, I immediately noticed that it was more snug than the original strap. If you compare them side by side you can see the difference in thickness. The only complaint I have is a small chirping noise when accelerating cold or over-accelerating. But he hadn't slipped yet and had shaken up some rough sand hills. In my opinion a good belt for the money! (another update) have almost 500 miles on this belt now and all i can say is. Wow! they are bulletproof! Mud, sand, rocks, I ride really hard and this belt takes everything I can give! Don't think, just buy! Another update! Now this belt has over 1000 miles on it and it's still fine! I've punished this belt with everything imaginable and it's still good. The only reason I could see other people having issues with it is because they don't overclock them properly or they don't warm them up properly before each hard ride. I always warm up the belt with a few high revs in the park before riding. And for the first 20 miles I changed speeds and didn't hit the ground. I will buy this belt again if it ever falls out. in the photo is my rzr and my friend on the right with canam also rides on a belt from gates. That day we drove 4WD donuts in sticky mud. Probably the hardest thing to do on a belt. Just buy it now!
