Sorry but these locks are not reliable at all. At least the two I have. I use them for my Pelican 1510 suitcase. There are small suburban flights where we have to check carry-on luggage on the plane and it gets loaded and unloaded there on the runway. Many times my suitcase was loaded with unlocked locks but there was no indicator showing they were opened with a key. Also, this is baggage screening on board the plane, so there isn't even a TSA, just movers. Yes, one of them may have a key, but nothing is missing. After further testing, I can literally unscrew this lock from the case. I don't know the correct terms, but the bolt doesn't go deep enough into the metal shell that it doesn't come out. My guess is that when the bags are loaded the locks between other bags break and this twists the locks and opens them. As an added bonus, the locks are very difficult to pick as they open once you enter the correct code. I'm assuming the internals are properly aligned as it's difficult to get the screw back into the metal shell. This might work better on cases where you put a zip lock or something that isn't as strong as a hard case, but everyone should be aware of this issue. Edit: Added a short video showing how easy it is to unscrew them. Update: although I was disappointed with the locks I can say I am a satisfied customer. Service. After reading a few more reviews I emailed TravelMore last night and was glad to see the email first thing in my inbox this morning. They offered to replace or refund the money for the purchase. Encouraged by their responsiveness, I will give them another chance. I might try these locks again or try a set of their cable locks which are a bit more flexible on a hard case.
