These handbags are - apart from the smell - great. The smell reminds me of the pink stuff the school janitor used when someone was sick. Do you remember? Shocked, kinda like pink sawdust? I can order a different flavor, or maybe not. I really think I want a bag that wraps around the bin opening. They don't have a top handle. They slide into one of my trash cans and I have to use a clamp or one of the large rubber bands to hold the bag in place. My other trash can with a different shape has no slipping problems. My trash cans aren't trendy - they're actually pretty cheap. just cheap 13 gallon plastic trash cans. The wastebasket is shorter and wider - this is normal. With the larger and thinner, I find it difficult to keep the bag in place. The bags live up to the "power of flexibility" claim. I stuff my pockets full, then take them out of the bins to throw away and stuff them some more. I usually carry them by the handles (which I tie in a knot) when I carry them to the bins outside. I haven't had any issues with tearing apart, except on the very rare occasions when the debris was very heavy. but I've learned to lift by the neck when I know the bag is heavier than usual. I like them for the most part, but I'm just not a fan of the scent. To me it's just an unpleasant smell, although I can't say it stinks. It's the association it evokes that makes the smell disgusting to my husband and I.
