Review on 🌸 Evenflo SureRide DLX Convertible Car Seat in Sugar Plum: Safety and Comfort in Style by Marta Bruns

Not bad at all: A few quirks

We bought this chair for my 1 year old daughter to replace her travel system. Our main car seat Chicco NextFit. We wanted to use it in my husband's pickup and use it when we fly for our rental cars (we fly about 3 times a year to visit family and rent a car). So we were looking for something lightweight, easy to install and not too bulky. I don't like this car seat, although it meets our requirements. When I went to install it in our Toyota Tacoma, the plastic rocker bar doesn't sit on the seat once I tilt it enough to align it. The tension belt on the seat is too short and does not reach the anchor rods in the truck seat. Once installed (with seat belt) it takes up a lot of space and elevates the passenger seat. And it's difficult to pull the strap because the strap is snug against the seat. In addition, the continuous loop of the straps is annoying, I have to buy strap covers because the straps are uncomfortable for my daughter and difficult to pull tight enough. However, after installing it with the seat belt, the plastic flip bar was useless and I was able to install it very firmly. I feel like the car seat itself was very easy to install (sadly without the attachment system) while getting the crap out of the seat belt. I definitely feel like he's fine and safe. The car seat is lightweight and not very bulky (plus Evenflo has a general purpose car seat bag I can buy for it). I still have to get used to the seat belt system. As long as I can figure out how to make it snug enough that my daughter isn't too uncomfortable, we can keep it and use it. Part of the problem could be the height of the truck (I'm short) when trying to properly tighten the seat belts. We have until August to sort it or return it.
