Overall this is a good solid step stool with a large stable platform and we are happy with it. . We use this with our motorhome and the ability to adjust the height of the legs is a particularly nice feature as the distance between the ground and the bottom step of the bus varies from campsite to campsite. It's made of aluminum, which we prefer to steel because it's lighter (5.9 pounds) and won't rust. The non-slip adhesive strips on the top of the platform combined with the ribbed top of the metal part of the steps are good safety features. The platform measures 19" x 14.5" as shown on the product page. There are a couple of things that made me deduct a star: I'm not a fan of the carry handle, but it works adequately. It's not that there's anything wrong with it, it's just that it's not very comfortable and just feels a bit more fragile than the rest of the device. The rubber feet on the bottom of the feet are not particularly secure. In fact, one fell off during delivery. The button to unlock the legs from the locked position is a bit fiddly, but not bad. I also need to double check that the pin actually fully engages when the legs are extended - sometimes it takes a bit of fiddling to get it fully engaged. Rotating the legs into the locked and unlocked position is a bit tight, but manageable. .Welds are not too nice, but seem to be functional.
