Bought for AC backup in my RV. Connected cables and devices indicate 13.8 VDC input and 110 VAC output. I checked the output voltage with a Fluke multimeter. The output voltage from Fluke is 87 VAC. I connected a small coffee pot to the inverter and turned it on. After about two minutes I noticed smoke coming from the inverter input wires at the battery connector. Shut down, allow to cool, inverter shut down. I'm so glad I followed this closely because it could have been a lot worse. This dangerous piece of junk is quickly returning to Revane.
