Review on Low Voltage Landscape Lighting Wire by Carlos Phillips

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good price. Rigid Insulation. copper cable. Why pay more?

This product works very well with 14-2 wires. much cheaper than my local hardware store. Copper wire is copper wire. why pay more? Especially good value if you use halogen or incandescent landscape lighting or LOTS of LEDs. The wire is a bit thick for a couple of LEDs but it will work and you will be able to upgrade. They should be sufficient for 180 watts of lighting in a 12 volt system (360 in a 24 volt system) with this copper strand gauge. 3-5 watts per LED garden light, that's quite a lot of LEDs! This insulation is a bit stiff. This makes installation difficult and may not be compatible with inferior or old, used, oxidized faucets. However, a strong wire should ensure it lasts long underground, even if installation is a bit tricky. For what it's worth, the cheapest 14-2 at my local hardware store had stiffer insulation.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
