When I opened the box I noticed how thin the wires were which worried me but I decided to proceed with this project. I upgraded a 6 volt system with a motor (which had thicker wires) so my son could drive his tractor anywhere other than a concrete road. Well I installed it and the motors were slow to respond, stopping after 10 seconds and briefly going into reverse for a split second before moving forward. Talk to a 2-year-old about whiplash! Then, to cap it all, he let out a loud bang, and a few seconds later another before a puff of smoke could be seen. I used a 12 volt battery for this. Conclusion: I disassembled everything except for the motors and reinserted the 6 volt wiring harness. The only thing I like about this kit are the motors. Everything else is undersized and junk. Delivery took a few weeks as it came directly from China. Maybe I knock? Who knows.
