I bought this for my wife to use in her life, she put her old one on the risers to get the right height. The stand is big enough to stand on the floor and doesn't need to be placed on a table or other objects to be high enough. What I also like is the great height adjustability. It folds conveniently for easy storage or portability when needed. I'm concerned about how the base will hold up over time if you keep flipping it up and down, but so far it's working great. The ring light can be rotated or tilted to achieve the desired lighting effect on the subject. It also has a good range of different lighting settings to get the right light for the situation. I also like that it doesn't have a plugin, but it does have a USB plugin. It is good if you plan to take it for photos outdoors or in a place where there is no electricity. You can use a laptop or power bank to power the light. If you use it for life, we have a plug-in with a USB connector.
