Devices with metal shells do not latch securely
Outer shell length seems too long causing USB-C cable to not latch securely and causing intermittent connections. To test this I actually took one of the metal case blocks and stripped some metal from the end. That worked much better. This applies both when used with Apple USB-C cables and cables from other brands. A device in a plastic case performs slightly better than a device in a metal case. upset.
