I love this flash. I've used it at several events. I like the ability to adjust the angle of the reflective card based on the brightness and height of the ceiling. In a room with a white ceiling, I point the map straight up (90 degrees) so the ceiling is the main light source and the specular map is just a fill. In rooms with dark or very high ceilings, a tilt of about 60 degrees makes the card the main light source. With a Canon 580-EXII flash, I mount the card so it's on the short side of the flash head and rotate the flash head 90 degrees to the base. This allows me to tilt it slightly when shooting vertically so the flash is above lens level, allowing light to still bounce off the ceiling. And even without bouncing off the ceiling, the shadows fall down from the face and to the side (instead of just to the side, which is less nice). In my experience it's a lot more adaptable than the Sto-Fen Omni Bounce. Works as well as a Gary Fong diffuser for less money.
