This UV lamp was removed less than two inches from the green banana as shown in the photo. Duck ribbon was wrapped around the banana to hide the cuts. In this position, the light was left on for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes the light was turned off and the adhesive peeled off. There was no visible change in the color of the banana peel. If it had been a real UV lamp the line would have been visible where the tape was pulled back as the UV-C light burned the banana peel in the sun.
