The express van is a big car and I have a van for sports, mountain biking and surfing. The problem is that I can't see what's behind the van through the side mirror. Because of this, I had two incidents. So now I have a camera. I'm assuming they must have two versions of the camera since someone has complained about not being able to see (or adjust) far behind. My only complaint is the power dissipation. With the display this system draws 300mA at 12V (or about 3.6W according to the 6W spec), and that's reasonable. But in standby mode with the display off, it draws 130mA. I think it's too much. If I use a regular VAN battery there shouldn't be a problem. BUT that's not my case, so I add a system power switch to avoid power loss. Yes, I have to turn on/off every time I turn the van on/off - I don't like that. However, I would like to recommend this product to avoid crashing someone/something. The third brake light is also clear.
