Review on πŸ”Œ Maximize Welding Efficiency with the Tweco 9110-1131 T-532 Ergo Electrode Holder by Mike Sutherland

Revainrating 5 out of 5

World's largest blade/electrode holder

Once you get used to a curved blade, you'll never want to go back to a straight one. All in all it was a great product, just as I expected! The only downside I could find with this particular spike is the slots that the staves go into are not very deep and only on one jaw. Also, the small piece of copper tubing that usually comes with a spike was not included with this one. This piece of copper is almost necessary to secure the cable in the clamp and tighten with the set screw. Otherwise, the setscrew will knock off most leaders and catch only a few of them. At the end of the day, your tip will get hot and you'll be constantly fixing a broken or melted wire where it attaches to the clip. A small piece of copper sheet or tubing that can be wrapped around the wire before clamping will work wonders. All in all I would have no hesitation in buying ten more of these for my welding job! These tips have industrial application both in the workshop and for all types of arc welding in the field. I highly recommend them despite their shortcomings. The only thing I've ever found better is the older Jackson Design Safety Stinger, which is shorter, lighter, and has better jaws.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
