I was disappointed that it only fits backwards on my toilet. I use it, but I will keep looking for something better. I assumed the universal fit meant it could be installed on either side of the toilet, but it's definitely made for right-side flushing only (when you're facing the toilet). The set comes with an elastic band that can be removed if the hole in the toilet is small. mine is. It's a bit loose because the part doesn't fit, but the metal without the rubber doesn't stretch, so it wiggles next to the lag. If all factors are in your favour, this is a good move.
