New and much better camera after January 15, 2015 firmware update v2

January 15, 2015 firmware v2 made this camera new. super zoom. I bought a TCON-17 teleconverter and some extra batteries, all from Revain. I have to say I was ambivalent about the camera. I had a lot of trouble getting the auto focus to focus. With facial recognition on and two friends a few feet away, it instead focused on two models on a poster in the store behind glass more than 40 feet away. I have to say they were faces, just not the right faces. In any case, after the release of firmware v 2.0 on January 15, 2015, it is like a different camera. You can set much narrower autofocus points. Everything seems faster. There are probably better cameras out there in this area. But most of them eclipse Olympus. If you're looking for a flexible, high-performing camera that's easy to carry, with plenty of automatic features and enough manual options to put your skills to the test, you can't go wrong with the Stylus 1. Just make sure yours comes with firmware. v. 2.0 or update it after receipt before customization if not. Installing new firmware will erase user settings.
